WIGA — Women in Green Access

Carbon Market Access & Climate Finance Platform

WIGA (Women in Green Access) is a platform designed to connect smallholder farmers, particularly women, to carbon markets and climate-linked financial instruments.

Built on experience in legal advisory and carbon credit structuring, including CPR Verde, and 15 minutes cities development, WIGA addresses critical barriers to market access, transparency, and financing in the green economy.

What WIGA does?

  • Enables access to carbon markets for smallholder farmers, particularly women

  • Supports the structuring of carbon-linked financial instruments

  • Bridges sustainable agricultural production with global environmental asset markets

  • Provides education and capacity-building for women to participate in the digital and green economy

  • Supports women-led businesses through targeted funding and growth initiatives in the green sector

  • Offers legal and relocation support pathways for women in vulnerable situations, including survivors of domestic violence

Impact

WIGA focuses on expanding access to climate finance for women-led agricultural communities, improving inclusion, income opportunities, and long-term resilience.

The platform also incorporates dedicated financial mechanisms to support participation and reduce barriers to entry in carbon markets.

Background

WIGA is developed through Bruna Legal Nexus, building on my experience in cross-border legal advisory and carbon credit market structuring projects.

Status
Currently under development, with early validation through field research and direct engagement with smallholder farmers in Bahia, Brazil, focused on sustainable cocoa production.
We are in active discussions with potential partners and preparing to onboard our first cohort of women participants, starting with an initial group of 10, to access training and opportunities within the green economy.

"

My journey has been shaped by navigating domestic violence and economic abuse, which gave me a deep understanding of the structural barriers many women face. Combined with my professional experience, this has driven my focus on building solutions that expand access to finance, inclusion, and economic autonomy within the green economy."
